Montacute Village Hall

Montacute, Somerset, TA15 6XD

Montacute Village Hall serves a golden-stone village dominated by Montacute House, one of the finest Elizabethan mansions in England and home to the National Portrait Gallery's Tudor collection. The hall on South Street is built from the same Ham Hill stone that gives the village its distinctive warm glow.

The main hall seats 60 in a bright, well-maintained space with a practical kitchen and modern heating. The hall is popular for regular fitness classes, art groups, and private celebrations. A small garden to the rear provides outdoor space for summer events.

St Michael's Hill, topped by a medieval tower, rises above the village and offers panoramic views across South Somerset. The village has an excellent pub (The Phelips Arms), a community shop, and is surrounded by gentle countryside ideal for walking and cycling.

Yeovil is 4 miles south with direct rail services to London Waterloo. The A303 is 3 miles to the north, providing access to the M3 and London. A small car park behind the hall accommodates 15 vehicles.
