Painswick Centre
Painswick, Gloucestershire, GL6 6QQ
The Painswick Centre is a beautifully converted former school building in the 'Queen of the Cotswolds' — a hilltop town of pale stone known for its extraordinary churchyard of 99 clipped yew trees. The centre on Bisley Street is one of the best-equipped community venues in the Cotswolds.
The Beacon Hall, the main space, seats 100 and features a stage, professional lighting, and excellent acoustics. A smaller Green Room seats 35 and works well for meetings and intimate events. The centre also has a well-equipped kitchen, a courtyard, and multiple breakout spaces. Full disabled access is provided throughout.
Painswick sits on the western edge of the Cotswolds with views across the Severn Vale to the Forest of Dean and Wales. Painswick Rococo Garden, a unique 18th-century garden, is a short walk north. The Cotswold Way national trail passes through the town.
Stroud station (4 miles) provides services to Gloucester, Swindon, and London Paddington. The A46 connects Painswick to Cheltenham (7 miles) and Stroud.
