Shaldon Jubilee Hall

Shaldon, Devon, TQ14 0AX

Shaldon Jubilee Hall is a well-loved community venue in this pretty seaside village overlooking the Teign estuary. Built to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897, the hall retains its Victorian character with high ceilings and decorative brickwork, while modern upgrades ensure it meets today's standards.

The main hall seats 70 and is popular for everything from yoga classes and table tennis to birthday celebrations and live music nights. The hall's acoustics are particularly praised by musicians, making it a regular stop on the local folk circuit. A separate committee room seats 15 for smaller gatherings.

Shaldon is connected to Teignmouth by a pedestrian ferry across the estuary and by the road bridge. The village's botanical gardens, hidden beach at Ness Cove, and waterfront pubs make it a delightful destination. Teignmouth's mainline railway station is a mile away, providing direct services to Exeter and London Paddington.

The hall sits on Ringmore Road with street parking available nearby. A small kitchen provides basic catering facilities, and the building is heated throughout the winter months.
