St Just-in-Penwith Memorial Hall

St Just, Cornwall, TR19 7HX

St Just Memorial Hall is the cultural heart of this former mining town near Land's End. The granite-built hall on Market Square has been a venue for community events since it was erected to honour the fallen of the First World War, and today it hosts one of Cornwall's most vibrant live music scenes.

The main hall seats 85 with a proper stage, professional lighting rig, and good acoustics that have attracted touring musicians and theatre companies. The Cape Cornwall Club and local folk sessions make regular use of the space. A smaller meeting room seats 20, and the kitchen is equipped for event catering.

St Just is the most westerly town in mainland England, surrounded by a UNESCO World Heritage mining landscape. Cape Cornwall, the only cape in England, is a mile to the west. The Tin Coast section of the South West Coast Path passes through dramatic clifftop scenery nearby, and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is 5 miles south.

Penzance, with its railway terminus (direct sleeper service to London Paddington), is 7 miles east. Parking is available around Market Square.
