Lostwithiel Community Centre

Lostwithiel, Cornwall, PL22 0HE

Lostwithiel Community Centre is a modern, purpose-built facility serving this small but characterful town on the River Fowey. Often called Cornwall's antique capital, Lostwithiel's Fore Street is lined with antique shops, curiosity dealers, and independent cafes that give it a distinctive creative atmosphere.

The centre offers a spacious main hall seating 80 with a sprung floor popular with dance and fitness groups. Two additional meeting rooms (seating 20 and 12) allow multiple simultaneous bookings. The kitchen is fitted to catering standard with stainless steel surfaces and a commercial dishwasher. All areas are fully accessible.

Lostwithiel was the medieval capital of Cornwall, and Restormel Castle — one of the best-preserved Norman motte-and-bailey castles in England — overlooks the town from a wooded hilltop. The town hosts a popular carnival in July and a lantern parade in December.

Lostwithiel has its own railway station with direct services to Plymouth and Penzance, and connections to London via Par. The A390 passes through town. The centre has a car park with 30 spaces.
