Fowey Town Hall
Fowey, Cornwall, PL23 1AT
Fowey Town Hall enjoys one of the most spectacular positions of any venue in Cornwall, perched directly above Town Quay with views across the estuary to Polruan and the open sea beyond. Daphne du Maurier lived in Fowey and drew inspiration from its creeks and headlands — the literary festival held in her honour each May uses the town hall as a key venue.
The upper hall seats 90 and its tall windows frame ever-changing views of the working harbour below. A ground-floor room provides additional space for smaller gatherings. The hall's waterfront location makes it a magical setting for wedding receptions, with the passenger ferry to Polruan departing from directly outside.
Fowey's narrow streets are lined with galleries, boutiques, and excellent restaurants. The Hall Walk circular route provides stunning estuary views, and Readymoney Cove beach is a short walk south. The Saints Way long-distance path terminates in the town.
Par station (mainline to London) is 4 miles away, and the town is accessible via the A3082 from the A390. Parking in Fowey is limited — the main car park is at the top of town, a 5-minute walk downhill.
