Goudhurst Village Hall

Goudhurst, Kent, TN17 1AL

Goudhurst Village Hall stands in one of the Weald of Kent's most dramatically positioned villages, perched on a hilltop with panoramic views across hop gardens and oast houses to the South Downs. The village, with its fine medieval church and weatherboarded houses, attracts visitors throughout the year.

The hall provides a well-proportioned main room seating 90, complemented by a committee room for 15. A full refurbishment in 2020 brought new flooring, modern lighting, and acoustic improvements that have made the hall popular for concerts and film screenings as well as traditional community events.

The kitchen is equipped to catering standard, and a licensed bar can be arranged for evening functions. French doors open onto a small terrace that takes advantage of the village's elevated position. The hall has level access and disabled facilities.

Goudhurst is in the heart of the High Weald AONB, surrounded by vineyards (including Lamberhurst), gardens (Bedgebury Pinetum, Sissinghurst Castle Garden), and walking routes. Tunbridge Wells is 10 miles west, and Maidstone is 14 miles north. Paddock Wood station, with services to London Bridge, is 5 miles away.
