Chilham Village Hall

Chilham Village Hall overlooks one of Kent's most photographed village squares, a medieval gem surrounded by half-timbered Tudor houses and flanked by Chilham Castle and the Norman church of St Mary's. The hall's position on this iconic square makes it a uniquely atmospheric venue.

The main hall seats 75 and retains original features including oak beams and leaded windows. It has been sensitively updated with modern heating, a well-equipped kitchen, and accessible toilet facilities. The intimate character of the space makes it particularly suited to wedding receptions, where the castle gardens and village square provide a spectacular backdrop for photographs.

Chilham sits in the Kent Downs AONB, six miles southwest of Canterbury. The North Downs Way national trail passes through the village, and the Great Stour river valley below is popular with walkers. Canterbury's world-famous cathedral is a short drive or bus ride away.

Chilham has a railway station on the Ashford to Canterbury line, with connections to London St Pancras via Ashford International's high-speed service. Village parking is limited but a small car park serves visitors.
