Lavenham Village Hall

Lavenham Village Hall serves what is widely considered England's finest medieval village. The timber-framed buildings, leaning and listing at impossible angles along narrow streets, have featured in countless films and television programmes, including the Harry Potter series (Godric's Hollow).

The hall on Church Street seats 70 and provides a functional, well-maintained space amid the village's architectural splendour. The magnificent Church of St Peter and St Paul, one of the great Suffolk wool churches, is a few steps away. The hall's kitchen and modern facilities make it suitable for everything from art exhibitions to private celebrations.

Lavenham's High Street and Market Place are lined with galleries, antique shops, tea rooms, and the famous Lavenham Guildhall (National Trust). The Swan Hotel, a celebrated half-timbered coaching inn, can accommodate event guests.

The village is 6 miles northeast of Sudbury (the nearest railway station, with services to London Liverpool Street via Marks Tey). Bury St Edmunds is 12 miles north. A public car park off Church Street provides 40 spaces.
